Sephora VIB Rouge Sale 2017 Wishlist!

Its the most wonderful time of the year...

The Sephora Beauty Insider sale is fast approaching, that means the holiday season is here!

Sephora is having their annual sale for Beauty Insider members, starting on November 3rd for Rouge members and on November 10th for VIBs and BIs. Rouge and VIB members will receive 20% off and BI's will receive 15% off. Another great way to save during the sale is to make your purchases through Ebates. You will get an extra 2.5% cash back! You can signup for an account here

Discount codes to use during online checkout:
       Rouge - 20FORROUGE active Nov 3-6 and Nov 10-15
       VIB - 20FORVIB active Nov 10-15
       BI - INSIDER15 active Nov 10-15

**Also, make sure you mention the discount to the cashier in store. I learned last year that the employees aren't allowed to offer up the discount without you prompting it. Many of them will ask "have you gotten any emails from us lately?" as a way to get you to mention the discount!

This is the best time of year to stock up on essentials, treat yourself to some extravagant goodies, and get some holiday shopping done! Things can get out of hand quickly, so make sure you have a game plan! Check out this post by Swatches and Stethoscopes for some great tips on staying focused during sale season! You'll also find her suggestions and picks here as well!

Here are my picks for the sale:

1. Skincare Sets

As I get older, I find myself appreciating the value of investing in good quality skincare more and more. The problem is that skincare can be quite pricey. With cleansers, exfoliators, serums, toners, moisturizers, eye creams, and products specifically for day or night, it can get quite overwhelming! Not to mention adding cream and sheet masks into the mix! Many top-rated brands offer skincare bundles or value sets during the holiday season, and this makes trying new products a whole lot easier (and easier on the wallet too!). With an added 15-20% discount on top of the already reduced prices, the BI Sale is the perfect time to get some skincare products, just in time for the dry winter air!

Recently, I tried "The Littles" from Drunk Elephant. This is a set of 7 deluxe sized products from their range, including 2 facial cleansing bars (Peke & Juju), a day serum (C-Firma), a night serum (T.L.C. Framboos), a hydration booster (B-Hydra), a facial oil (Marula), and a moisturizer (Lala). The set retails for $100 and provided me with 2 months of daily use. After the 2 months, I have run out of C-Firma, T.L.C., and B-Hydra, but I am still working on the rest! I highly recommend this set to anyone looking to see what Drunk elephant is all about, or wanting some good travel sized products. For only $80 during the sale (after 20% off), this is a steal!

After trying The Littles, I've wanted to purchase the full sized versions of these products, however they are very expensive! Luckily, they introduced 3 value sets for the holidays. These include one full size product and other deluxe sized products that pair well with it. For only a few more dollars than the price of the full size itself, you can build most of the line! I will definitely be picking these up! Here are the sets they are offering:

Volume 1: Hot Date™ retails for $120 ($167 value) and includes the following:
- 1 oz/ 30 mL T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum
- 1 oz/ 30 mL Beste Jelly Cleanser
- 0.5 oz/ 15 mL Lala Retro Whipped Cream
- 0.27 oz/ 8 mL Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil

Volume 2: Come C About Me™ retails for $106 ($128 value) and includes the following:
- 1 fl oz/ 30 mL Beste Jelly Cleanser
- 0.5 fl oz/ 15 mL B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Gel
- 1 fl oz/ 30 mL C-Firma Day Serum

Volume 3: Lets Dew It™ retails for $98 ($140 value) and includes the following:
- 1.69 oz/ 50 mL Lala Retro™ Whipped Cream
- 0.5 oz/ 15 mL Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil
- 0.5 oz/ 15 mL B-Hydra™ Intensive Hydration Gel

More on the Drunk Elephant train... they are offering a Vault collection at Sephora, however it is not available in Canada since it include's their Umbra mineral sunscreen. Sunscreen laws in Canada are more rigorous than in the US (or so I've heard), so many SPF products don't reach our market for quite some time (even years!). If you live in the US and love Drunk Elephant, I'd say the Vault is definitely a coveted item! It is $425 for 9 full size items!

Many brands are offering great sets as well, so its a great idea to stock up on your favourites or try something new!

2. Sephora Favourites

I just love these kits! They are an amazing way to try a bunch of products and they are such a great value! In the past I have purchased the Give Me More Lip lipstick set and the Lashstash mascara set. The have wonderful offerings that make great gifts and they usually sell out quick, so get your hands on anything that may interest you! I am still working my way through the mascaras from last year's kit! This year, I have my eye on Give Me Some Bold Lip!

Here are some of this year's sets:

Glow for It Highlighter set ($48)
Superstars Everyday Must-Haves set ($90)
Give Me Some Bold Lip Lipstick set ($33)

3. Essentials

Now is the best time to stock up on your favourite mascara, foundation, primer, and concealer! I know I'll be picking up the Too Faced Hangover Rx Primer! Its so hydrating and provides the perfect base under makeup! Also, a note for the Savvy Shopper - the full size primer is $40 for 40 ml, but the trial size of the product is $16 for 20 ml. Its cheaper to buy the mini, which is rarely ever the case! With the added discount, it's a great option! I have tons of cosmetics, so I'm trying to only get things I need or that I wouldn't normally buy!

4. Fun Holiday Sets

Now, Holiday sets are made for gifting, but what makeup lover can resist the pretty packaging, limited edition shades, and great value of these yearly releases?! I always find myself picking up a couple holiday sets for myself! This year, I am totally treating myself to the Touch In Sol Metallist Liquid Foil & Glitter Eye Set. I have wanted to buy one of these shadows for the longest time, and now I can try them all! They are double ended shadows, with one side housing a metallic creme shadow and the other side is a foiled glitter top coat! They are so pretty, and this kit includes 6 shades for $50!!! They usually retail for $28 each (for 2.2 ml creme, 2 g glitter). The shadows in this set are just slightly smaller, at 1.5 ml creme and 1.5 g glitter, so the value is pretty insane for less than $10 for each shade!

Another amazing Holiday set that makes a great gift is the Tarte Artful Accessories Brush Set. It is $57 for 5 brushes, including cheek, complexion, highlighter brushes for the face and blending and shader brushes for the eyes! This year's set includes a really cute golden brush holder as well! I love Tarte brushes since they are cruelty free and great quality! This makes such a perfect gift for any makeup lover!

Those are my picks! I'd love to know what you're picking up during the sale! Let me know in the comments below!

  3. I've never tried Drunk Elephant stuff but always wanted too! That price tag though... HOOO BOY.
The Sephora favourites kits/sets are such a good buy too. So much variety and the price tags are always soooo good. And let's get real... mini sizes are probably what we need now, not full size products!

    1. Exactly! I love minis, especially mascara. I feel like they last just as long as a full size tube, since the full size ones usually dry up before all the product is used up! The LashStash is an amazing value!
