If you have been to a Winners or Marshalls store lately (or TJ Maxx in the States), you may have notice an influx of high-end beauty brands. Specifically, I have seen items from Anastasia Beverly Hills, Too Faced, Kat Von D, Kevin Aucoin, MAC, Bobbi Brown, Lipstick Queen, Dior, Burberry, and more. Not to mention a wide range of fragrance, skincare, and haircare. These products are the real deal - they are usually from past seasons or overstock.  The trouble with purchasing makeup products at these stores can be due to hygenic issues. Often time when you find a coveted item, it has been opened and swatched. Some products are easy to tell if they have been dipped into, such as cream products or powders. Some products, like liquid lipsticks or mascara, are not. Personally I wouldn't suggest picking up these products if they do not have a protective wrapping and look like they've been tampered with. I received the new Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara complementary from Influenster to test and review. It came in a standard Influenster style box, covered with the Revlon logo. This mascara comes in 4 shades - black, blackest black, blackened brown, and plum brown. I received the shade 803 "Blackened Brown". This mascara is advertised to provide extreme volume and length, from their 360º fibre tube formula, that gives flake-free, smudge-proof all-day wear. The formula is a really unique aspect of this mascara since it is a "tubing" mascara. This means that the formula coats each lash with a sheath (or tube) of product, fully encasing it. When these tubes have been saturated with warm water, they will completely slide off the lashes, for easy removal. Here is a super detailed post outlining my experience at Generation Beauty Toronto on June 24th and 25th! I also give some comparisons to the 2016 event! GenBeauty is an event hosted by Ipsy that brings together Beauty Brands, Content Creators, and Beauty Enthusiasts alike! It is the second year that the event has been running in Canada, and I was able to attend both! It is held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Tickets range in price from ~$60 to ~$165 CAD. This year, 22 brands participated, including Covergirl, MAC, Ciate, Pixi, Smashbox, and more!  They decided to do the event a little differently this year, compared to last year. The most noticeable change was with the swag bags that the attendees receive. Last year, there was a smaller bag for each day of the event. If you were unable to attend one of the days, then you were unable to receive the bag for that day, which was unfortunate because it was incorporated into the ticket price. ColourPop recently launched two new lip formulas, the Blotted Lip and the Ultra Blotted Lip . The Blotted Lip was originally introduced with the Alexis Ren Collection in February, and the Ultra Blotted Lip is new for Summer 2017. I purchased Deja Vu when the Alexis Ren collection launched, and immediately loved the formula. The Fruity Juicy collection by MAC Cosmetics was released in North America on May 18th. This collection has been hyped all over Instagram because of its bright and tropical gorgeous packaging.... and we're all suckers for beautiful packaging! Everything in the collection is adorned with papayas, bananas, pineapples, coconuts, and hibiscus flowers, giving us the summertime vibes that are oh-so-needed after a long winter! The one item that I was particularly interested in from the collection was the Prep + Prime Fix +  setting spray. Every youtuber, beauty guru, and blogger has raved about this setting spray and it's magical ability to make your products look flawless on the face. Surprisingly, I had never tried this product before! With this limited edition release, I knew now was the time! The Fruity Juicy Fix + has a soft coconut scent that is not overbearing. I find that the scent fades shortly after application, so it doesn't feel like you are spraying...

I recently purchased some items from Tarte's Make Believe in Yourself Collection , or the Unicorn Collection as most people are calling it! One of the most coveted items is the makeup brush set which looks like magical unicorn horns! It comes with 5 brushes, each with different coloured bristles and a glided gold handle! They are stunning! From left to right, we have the eye shadow blending brush (turquoise), foundation brush (purple), blush/powder brush (pink), flat contour brush (magenta), and the eye shadow brush (blue). I have to say the blush brush is my favourite! It is soooooo fluffy! I purchased these the day (the minute) they were released and also decided to try a skincare sampler set that I had been eyeing for a while. I will review these at a later date!
